FAQ
Will people actually answer?
It’s built to make answering easy. Your questions come up while they listen, and a reply can be a few words or a voice note, and they can skip any question they’d rather not answer. If they still don’t answer, you see whether they opened it and where the track lost people.
Will an artist I don’t know even listen?
Nobody can promise that. It does help that it opens in one tap from your message, with nothing to sign up for, and that you can offer them a drink for their time.
Can my track leak or end up public?
It’s never listed or searchable. Downloads stay off until you allow them, and taking it down stops every link at once. On the Label plan, each download carries a watermark for that person.
Will they know you can see how far they listened?
Yes. The link tells them before they press play, and they can answer anonymously. Then you see what they said, not who said it.
Do they need an account or an app?
Nothing to sign up for or install. It opens in one tap from WhatsApp, Instagram or email and plays in the browser.
What do they hear, and can DJs download it?
A 320 kbps stream in any browser. If you switch downloads on, they can save the same MP3, or your original WAV, to try it in their sets. WAV downloads are free for everyone during early access.
Do I have to send everyone their own link?
You choose. Give each person their own link, so you see who listened, or use one link for a group chat or anyone you like.
Isn’t offering a drink a bit weird?
It’s optional, and they can decline it. For friends you rarely need it. For an artist you’ve never met, it’s a thank-you for their time. It goes straight to their PayPal, and Testpress never takes a cut.
What happens after the free plan?
Free stays free for 2 tracks or EPs at a time. When you send more, the Artist plan is €9 a month and the Label plan €129 a month, billed yearly.
